Monster Pumpkins Festival 2026 & The Costume Caper 5K!

The Pittsburgh Monster Pumpkins Festival returns to The Stacks at 3 Crossings Campus in The Strip District – Saturday Oct. 17th & Sunday Oct. 18th!

The city’s most spellbinding spectacle of colorfully colossal cucurbits and signature “family fall festival” happens between 28th and 29th streets!

We promise one memorable and magical moment in time, made possible by the the world-famous ATLANTIC GIANTS—the most prodigious breed of pumpkins on the planet—with record weights well over 2,500 pounds!

Kicking off the event on Saturday, October 17th at 8AM is the LECOM Costume Caper 5k Family Fun Run/Walk on Pittsburgh Riverfront Trail in the Strip District! Kristen will be on-site kicking off and leading the event!

Young and old… avid racers or exercise trotters, or just plain scenic strollers… and where all participants are encouraged to disguise themselves in their favorite Halloween-themed getups! Why? Because fantastic giveaways await early registrants and costume wearers: scariest, funniest and most original . Shy about donning a costume? We understand… everyone’s a winner really, so take comfort knowing each participant receives medals and some cool race bling regardless.
