Meet Royal, our Animal Friends Pet of the Week!

All hail Royal, a 2-year-old princess who’s ready to rule your heart and your walking schedule! Royal came to Animal Friends from a partner organization and is looking for a family to call her own.

This sweet girl is a high energy, active pup who enjoys long walks, following her nose wherever an interesting scent leads and staying busy with enrichment activities. Royal is also a big fan of treats and will happily accept them as part of her royal rewards package.

Like any princess, Royal appreciates having her own space and prefers that her belongings are respected, so she’ll do best with dog-savvy children ages 13 and older who understand her boundaries. In return, she’ll be a loyal companion who’s always ready for the next adventure.

And there’s never been a better time to meet her! August is Dogust, the nationwide birthday celebration for shelter dogs. Because we don’t always know a shelter dog’s actual birthday, Dogust gives us the chance to celebrate them all. To honor our canine residents, Animal Friends is making adoptions of all dogs age one year and older price-less throughout August. That means Royal can join your family with no adoption fee or donation needed.
