This giant love bug is looking for a forever placement where he can be the only dog. Bear much prefers the company of people to the company of dogs, especially because his play style with other dogs is often overwhelming.
Bears adopters need to have previous experience with mastiff type breeds, and be willing to work with our training partners at Pawsitive K9 Behavior School to ensure that Bear is set up for success long-term. While Bear is large, he is ready to learn and take direction. He is most inclined to work with someone, and not for someone. While the relationship may take time to build and require a great deal of consistency at the beginning, longer-term Bear has the stuff to be a very nice companion for the right person. Homes with small children would not be a great fit for Bear, but homes with children over 10 can be considered.
